The two travelled to the research centre with a speed that made Banhier feel like he was doing half the speed limit on a residential road. Lord Seb was young in comparison to most of the vampiric nobility, being that he was turned in the later years of BC.

Because of his youth, his abilities were somewhat lacking in comparison to the prince’s. When they arrived, Lord Seb was visibly exhausted, due more to his lack of exercise than his vampiric abilities, and Banhier was seemingly bored. Lord Seb showed his prince around the research centre, which comprised mainly computer labs, drawing rooms and the odd alchemist’s station. The prince took interest in a sealed-off area of the centre and insisted that he be shown what secrets were held within.

Lord Seb approached the sealed silver door to what was labelled sun room and popped his head into a retina scanner. The door whooshed open and the two entered, with Lord Seb saying, “We need to be careful in here,” as he entered.
